My theoretical approach in counselling is Integrative. This enables me to adapt how I work with each person or couple, whilst respecting individual beliefs, values and cultures.
My aim is to offer you a confidential, non-judgmental, safe space to air and explore any issues of concern. I see the purpose of therapy as an opportunity for personal development and growth with the aim of addressing your issues and coping mechanisms in order to become more content in life and build stronger more meaningful relationships.
My role as a professional therapist is to facilitate and enable this by working with you in order to aid your self-awareness and understanding so that you can feel empowered to make relevant and lasting changes in your life.
As a couples therapist, I have significant experience of working with different presenting issues that may cause relationship distress. I am familiar with working with same sex couples, blended families, open relationships as well as cultural differences.
I take confidentiality seriously and believe this enables good therapeutic outcomes.
