Hanson Fernandes31 August 2024 Dhanesh was fantastic throughout all our sessions, whether in person or over a call. She’s an excellent listener and always ready to help. I received a lot of valuable advice and feedback during our time together. I’m grateful for all the support she provided. Maxim Orr15 June 2024 Very good! Paulo Caricati8 June 2024 I highly recommend Dhanesh, who has been instrumental in maintaining my emotional balance during a challenging period. She is thoughtful, friendly, and encouraging. She is a good listener, professional and compassionate. Shantnu Singh6 June 2024 Dhanesh is great and you can really tell that she cares for her people. She has an amazing skill of mixing her great interpersonal and listening skills with scientific theory.. Overall I'd really recommend Dhanesh as a therapist! Christina Breaden6 June 2024 I had a very impactful and healing therapy experience with Dhanesh Sakaria. I contacted Dhanesh seeking help for anxiety and support through a miscarriage. It was my first experience with therapy and immediately felt comfortable to share my inner thoughts and past experiences to determine where my anxiety and fears were coming from. She also used EMDR (which I had never heard of, but was open to trying) to help me with past trauma and it was extremely helpful and has help shift my perspective on past experiences and lower my anxiety levels. Dhanesh never pushed more sessions and left things open for me to decide what I felt I needed in terms of sessions. I fully recommend Dhanesh if you need support with anxiety, sadness, relationships, and so on! Thank you! Alice Shirley30 January 2024 I would highly recommend Dhanesh as a therapist. I saw her for grief counselling, and general life changes and complexities. She aided me through a very difficult time, and helped me find the tools to meet life's challenges. She was kind and compassionate, very welcoming. Alejandro Gutierrez Sanchez28 March 2023 It was a pleasure to speak with Dhanesh. Scheduling an appointment was incredibly easy and her space is very welcoming. In our initial session, I had sufficient time to express my thoughts while receiving follow-up questions that made me dig deeper which ultimately helped me gain a much better understanding of the situation. Would highly recommend. Sujay Jhaveri29 December 2022 We connected with Dhanesh to work with my 80 year old mother to help her navigate some significant life changes that had occurred. My mum is quite traditional and was skeptical about how therapy could help her, especially given her proclivity to have a baseline of being anxious, pessimistic and mildly depressive by so it needed someone with a deft touch to be able to communicate with her in a way that resonated and made a lasting impact. Dhanesh was able to do this and we remain very grateful for her assistance during a difficult time.
Counselling will give you the opportunity to think and talk about whatever is going on for you in a confidential, non-judgmental space. This will enable you to gain more clarity, become more self-aware and understand the cause of any imbalance you may be experiencing along with your patterns of responding to your difficulties. This will then open up your potential to make positive changes in your life.
Counselling can be used to address almost anything that might be causing concerns for you and your wellbeing. Some of the issues may be current and others historical but still have an impact on you now. Examples include;
Abuse | Addiction |
Anger | Anxiety and stress |
Bereavement and loss | Bullying |
Cultural identity issues | Depression |
Discontent | Divorce |
Eating disorders | Employment issues |
Fertility | Health concerns |
Lack of Motivation | Major life changes |
Redundancy and work issues | Relationship difficulties |
Sexuality | Trauma |
Violence | Worry |
Individual counselling sessions: £130
Couple’s therapy sessions: £170 each
Clinical supervision: £85 per hour
Individual counselling sessions and couples therapy sessions are 50 minutes each. Supervision is as agreed.
I usually manage to offer a first appointment within 1-2 weeks depending on your availability and flexibility.
Your first session is really an opportunity to decide whether you want to pursue counselling and whether you feel comfortable with me as your therapist. I would use the opportunity to ask some questions and find out a little about you and what brings you to counselling. So that I too can be clear about whether I can be of help to you before we agree to work together.
The assessment process for the couple’s therapy requires that I first meet with the both of you, then I would arrange to see you individually for one session each then together again to feedback what I make of your relationship, the patterns, pitfalls and how I can help.
Behavioral Couple’s Therapy is more directive and will require your commitment to work on your relationship in between sessions by practicing the exercises you learn with me in the sessions.
Your relationship doesn’t have to be completely falling apart before you can justify seeking couple’s therapy, sometimes communication can breakdown in a mutually loving, caring relationship because of something else like loss, trauma, or depression in one of the partners.
